from 176 reviewsAs with all of the tools I have purchased from JunLin, they are delivered promptly, and are great quality. If I need a tool, JunLin is the first website I check.
Another great tool tailored by Jun Lin. Very easy to use, great control over temp and most importantly, crispy clean results.
These Edge Bevelers made by JunLin are awesome. My only regret is not getting them earlier. Having owned several edge bevelers at various price points, I am confident that these ones made by JunLin are, IMHO with a high degree of probability - the best. I won't hesitate to recommend someone to buy these straight away and not waste time (and money) on anything else.
The ergonomics of the handle are in my humble opinion perfect. The offset implementation is comfortable while the thoughtfully appointed angles and flats on the handle provide for intuitively accurate use.
The handles meet the ferule with a small bevel that I find it very neat and well executed. I think this is one of the nicest ways to transition between wood and a ferule. The ferules itself are also very well made. I appreciate the oxidizing finish that was applied and the resulting patina.
The cutting edges of the bevelers came perfectly polished and sharp out of the box, making satisfying clean cuts even through soft leather, with ease. The beveling arm is robust and rigid. It is a pleasure to use. Edge retention has also been great and I expect these to be easy to maintain.
These bevelers are top notch. Well deserving of a solid 5 stars!
Flawless, smooth performance, extremely consistent. Buy them.
Having now had a time to test out for a couple of projects, I have to say its a great little beveler. The No.0 holds its edge well and can get round tight corners with ease. It is pricey but having wasted money on cheaper inferior products imo you get what you pay for. Will look to get the No.1 at some point in the future.
This will be my 5th Japanese cutting knife, as I am always on the hunt for knives that will offer me an upper hand in my work. I use this knife very heavily in my pattern cutting and trimming. The Journey has amazing edge retention, it is very comfortable and feels very natural in use. I have used cutting knives from Palosanto and various maker sources from Japan, and I think Junlin nailed it here with how this is was put together with his material choices and overall design. As with most of the other tools I have used from Junlin, his attention to detail runs very deep. You can really tell that he puts his heart into what he makes, and truly cares about the end product. 10/10
I have used edgers from Palosanto Factory, Kevin Lee, Barry King, Ron’s Tools and after all of these years, I have finally found an edger I love everything about. The way that these edgers cut right out of the box are unmatched. The cut angle, steel/wood choice, ergonomics, attention to detail in how they are built are all perfectly paired. Would highly suggest to anyone looking to step into a professional edger. You won’t regret it! 10/10! Customer service from Junlin is second to none as well.
I’ve used some few edge bevelers from other brands, and must will need fine tuning, mostly sharpening and shaping the handle. This is the first beveler that is ready to be used, the edge is smoothly beveled with no resistance, sharply cutting even round punches. The handle is incredibly comfortable, fits perfectly in my hand, and the flat surfaces register nicely with my index finger so I always know where the beveler goes. This is a premium tool, something worth passing along to my grandchildren and their grandchildren.
Excellent quality irons. They have a good weight and are very comfortable to hold.
This knife is incredibly enjoyable to use—its edge design cuts effortlessly and its ergonomics make it very intuitive to use. I had given up on trying to use a Japanese-style knife for most cutting, but this one is a whole different animal—I fully expect it will become my primary knife for cutting out patterns. Also, I’m somewhat amazed someone made a leather knife from Magnacut, which is about the most advanced and fashionable powdered-metal steel in the high-end knife world right now.
This single prong iron is sharp (so much so that I don't need to hit it with a hammer to pierce the leather, the pressure of my hand is enough), pleasant to use and overall high quality. I mostly use it for tight curved corners for which the two prong iron is too large and for thick stacks of hard leather
Jun Lin is just awesome. Would buy here definitely again. Great service. Fast shipping. Wonderful products.
Appropriately small for its substantial weight, allowing one to scribe easily around a template with a relaxed hand: it also looks good. Happy customer!
Exquisite craftsmanship. It has an almost perfect weight and balance in the hand. The ergonomics of the handle are impeccable. As well as a very kind handwritten note in the box. Definitely recommend wholeheartedly!
